Antique, exceptional and unique wall mirror. Via one of our foreign contacts we recently purchased this perfectly realistic grapevine wall mirror. The stunning and unique mirror frame is all handcarved out of solid tiger oak. Not only does it come with striking details, it also has the most beautiful patina. However, what makes this particular Arts and Crafts frame stand out from anything we ever saw, are the 'coincidental' veins running through the leafs. We have shot two close up photos of the leafs and in those photos you can most clearly see how the thin 'tiger stripes' that run through this tiger oak frame, are exactly in the places where normally the veins of a leaf would be. Knowing how Arts and Crafts artisans almost always did things on purpose, we feel this is no coincidence and that this amazing detail / feature is part of what makes this mirror truly exceptional and unique. Both the perfectly excecuted frame and the beveled mirror itself, could not be in better condition and thanks to the strong metal hooks on the back, mounting this stylish and artistic antique won't take more than a few minutes. Thanks to its unique design and timeless subject matter, this Arts and Crafts mirror will look the part in an Arts and Crafts interior, but also in a more modern interior and especially in a room / living space where people would gather to enjoy a glass of wine.
