About the Item
Hand cast architectural mirrored glass molding.
Style no. 1107 Baseboard Moulding has been reproduced from an original and is available in two sizes Ht.10” or Ht. 7 ½” in 16” lengths. The image shows a hand-poured glass moulding in a polished finish where the surface has been hand ground and polished leaving a smooth, clean appearance to the surface of the glass block. The back of the moulding has been hand silvered and lightly antiqued to give the appropriate aged appearance for use in either a Deco or Mid-Century interior.
Stephen Cavallo has sought to do more than just clad walls with mirror. These different settings reveal Stephen Cavallo, through the use of various proprietary glass and silvering technology, is capable of executing these stunning interiors. The hand finishing of the materials allow the background to be compatible with a wide range of decorative styles, as shown in the following images. These interiors were designed, manufactured and photographed in the Stephen Cavallo studio located in New York City.
