Handsome Walnut Howard Miller Mirror--George Nelson and Arthur Umanoff

About the Item

This is a very handsome walnut mirror made by Howard Miller during George Nelson's tenure with the company. Similar examples are often attributed to Arthur Umanoff, who designed many clocks and other mirrors--usually in walnut--for Howard Miller. The hexagonal mirror measures 30" wide and 26" high. Note that the hangers on the back side of the mirror determine its orientation. The diameter of the glass mirror itself is 23" in diameter. The mirror is in very good condition. There's negligible wear to the frame and only one small 1/2" loss to the mirror's silvering (shown in photos.) Only upon close examination does this mirror not look brand, shiny new.
