A stunning and high quality Italian 18th century Louis XIV period giltwood double framed mirror from the region of Piedmont, Turino. The elegant mirror is raised by ‘S’ scrolled legs with gilt acanthus leaves and a pierced central reserve. The two double framed sides are accented with foliate reserves and top cabochon. The superb pierced top crown is decorated by a central opulent acanthus leaf spray with large scrolled acanthus leaves and foliate that continue down each side. With all original gilt and mirror plates.
