Beautiful Italian reverse painted verre eglomise mirror with original silvering. Verre eglomise is a French term referring to the process of applying both a design and gilding onto the rear face of glass. the mirror is trimmed in gild wood. Condition:

Replacements made: One piece of glass on the exterior edging of the mirror has been replaced. The back of the mirror has loose paper but the mirror is structurally sound. we always recommend checking the hardware on the back before hanging as the hardware is vintage. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor wear and tear commensurate to age of mirror.
