About the Item
Italian late 19th century Louis XVI style giltwood console table and mirror. The table is finely hand carved in precise detail on four tapered and fluted legs with elegant foliate carvings. Above each leg finely carved rosettes. The frieze is decorated with acanthus leaves connected with each other in a beaded frame. The top is of cream marble.
The arched top mirror is all hand carved wonderfully decorated with fine roses garlands, acanthus leaves and a beaded frame, with faceted mirror glass.
The overall carving of the two pieces is of an excellent quality and finesse. With all original gilt throughout. It shows some wear, some small gilding losses).

Total height table with mirror 84.50" (215 cm)
Table: Height 31.50", width 39.50", depth 14.50" (80cm x 100 cm x 37 cm)
Mirror: Height 55", width 32", depth (at the arched top) 5" (135 cm x 82 cm x 12.5 cm)
