About the Item
An Italian Rococo style painted and gilded wood mirror from the early 19th century. This Italian mirror features a grooved frame with a nicely carved crest, decorated with various scroll motifs and delicate flower. The frame is also adorned with a delicate shell and stylized floral decor. This Italian mirror is made of oak with gilding over gesso. The glass is the center is beveled and has been replaced. The general color is of an off white with black accents and nice gold-colored gilding.
