An Italian carved acanthus leaf mirror from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This elaborate antique mirror from Italy features a richly carved, ornate acanthus leaf wooden surround with oblong, oval shaped glass at center. The carved details are spectacular, the scrolling leaves are quite fluid and three dimensional. The wooden, hand-carved surround has gesso along with an off-white and taupe coloring throughout. This late 18th to early 19th century Italian mirror will be a stunningly-beautiful wall decoration for your home, standing just over 3 feet in height.
