About the Item
Gilded Cornice Del 1700, splendid Italian Louis XIV style mirror in carved wood, rectangular shape centered by modern mirror, richly carved with deep scrollwork decorated with foliage and auspicious motifs, bunches of grapes. The antique frame of this Italian mirror has been restored in the past, consistent with the date and is in good condition. Previous restorations denounce restorations to the gilding in pure gold leaf and the replacement in the back of the batten supports.
It comes from a private collection in Lombardy.
