Italian Stylized Conical Midcentury Mirror Iron Gilded by Luigi Colli 1950s
About the Item
Elegant mirror from the 50-ies Italy in heavy finish attributed to Luigi Colli.
The format is slightly conical, the solid gilded iron frame is 3.0cm deep and 1.5cm wide.
The inner frame is designed by a cord, the outer part of the frame by a surrounding textured-hammered surface.
Very delicate volutes entwine the corners and the upper part of the frame.
The outer edge of the volutes and the frame is smooth.
The appearance of the mirror is light-footed and playful, a very beautiful 50s object.
The mirror is very heavy, which speaks for the quality of workmanship. The back is made of wood.
The outer frame and the mirror glass have a very light patina.

A French midcentury bronze mirror with naturalistic decoration. A poetic looking mirror with branches and leaves entwining around the frame.
Playful and unevenly distributed bronze elements.
Even the suspension (18 x 5cm) resembles an element from nature, a branch that quite randomly and casually on the upper frame
laid down.
The branches and leaves are engraved and textured the surface is colored from light to dark green with lacquer paint, giving the elements depth and naturalness.
A mirror like a poem, even the back is included in the Enwturf.
Painted on the back and signed by hand Ly De Rohanchault for LANVIN (the fashion label in Paris).
So obviously a mirror made for a store interior or showroom for LANVIN.
