About the Item

A large English burl wood mirror from the late 19th century, with gilt accents and egg and dart motifs. Born in England during the third quarter of the 19th century, this large mirror will look wonderful displayed vertically or horizontally. Presenting a clear mirror plate surrounded by a scrolling inner molding, the mirror attracts our attention with its burl frame secured with a gilt egg and dart themed outer frame. With its large proportions and contrasting colors, this English burl wood and gilt mirror circa 1870 will make a statement in any room, perhaps hung above a settee, credenza or enfilade.
