About the Item

First of all, I want you to be aware of the dimensions: 53.5 inches high x 34 inches wide x 3.25 inches deep. These are very large and very old survivors dating to the 1850-60s era. They are magnificently aged with just the right amount of wear to the genuine gold leaf revealing its original Italian red clay bole ground behind the gilded surface. The mirrors feature patinated panels with baskets of flowers and what appear to be angels or putti. The carving is robust and floral just as we expect from fine antique Florentine frames. The pieces are absolute masterpieces of craftsmanship, artistic skill and scale. They survived almost 200 years and will make incredible focal points on your home and set the stage for your other fine pieces as well.
