Large Square, Carved Silvered Wood Mirror

An original French Art Deco long, wide and rectangular, silver over wood wall mirror with slightly curved top, fluted sides and angular accents of nickel and brass. The highly decorative ziggurat, sky scraper, stylized representation on the bronze mounts flanking each side and center distinguish this highly imposing mirror. The mirror features an overall authentic geometric expression with a period mirror inset. The inset shows some very small age spots on the glass which add to the mirror's charm and character. Since we cannot photograph the mirror due to it's reflection, I would approximate a total of ~35 tiny desilvered spots ranging in size from 1/4" maximum on ~ 5 spots, to miniscule in size on the remaining dots. Slightly rubbed/ mottled finish on the nickeled over bronze mounts with a satin finish on the wood, as shown in pics. Important and spectacular French Art Deco vanity in beautifully figured thuya wood, attributed to Maurice Dufrène.
