A Large and Very Fine Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Mounted Mahogany Mirror.
This fine 'plum pudding' mahogany mirror has an arched pediment centred by a gilt-bronze basket issuing flowers above a frieze of viruvian scroll centred by a tablet depicting putti at play. The arched mirror plate sits within a beaded border and is flanked by carved reeded columns with finely cast gilt-bronze Corinthian capitals and foliate swags.
