A Large and Finely Carved Louis XVI Style Marginal Frame Giltwood Mirror.

The bevelled rectangular mirror plate is framed by marginal side plates within a beaded and egg and dart carved rectangular giltwood frame with out-set corners and delicate overlaid swags of rock roses.

The mirror frame is surmounted by a foliate cartouche cresting with ‘C’-Scrolls, trellis work, acanthus and perching birds.
