Mid-18th Century Italian Giltwood Pier Rococo Mirror


This giltwood Rococo mirror from mid-18th century Italy is a rectangular mirror surmounted by a large pierced rocaille with foliage garland extending downward toward simply decorated sides; the mirror plate in two sections; the lower frame section with C-scrolls, foliage, and a central rocaille, the corners extending down toward the C-scroll feet; very fine quality carving and gilding.
