Mirror Chinoiserie Triptych Black and Gold Portal Mirror by Joan Tarragó

About the Item

The idea was to commission Joan Tarragó to illustrate the doors of a triptych mirror. The Chinoiserie then came to mind. Chinese lacquer and its filigree drawings with golden motifs, which he transformed into his own language. The essence of movement expressed through the intricate lines, the artistic expression of a mental flow, the dichotomy between organic and technological, urban and nature, tradition and modernity. Once focused on this piece, he complemented it with three new pieces of his characteristic format to create a family adapted to this new code of black and gold. The constant exploration of an exotic graphic language through travel and research is the backbone of the tireless work by Joan Tarragó. A Barcelona native, his academic and professional artistic background embraces illustration, graphic design and urban art, giving a very eclectic and meticulous approach to contemporary art. For him, illustration is no longer bound by a flat format but often explores three dimensions. His artistic style is nourished by ancient symbolism, surf label influences and a very cutting edge graphic language, which all together has been very successful in the artistic scene in many countries like USA, Indonesia, Japan, France or Germany.

Dining Table Grey Concrete and Black Lacquered Legs Radtlos by Michael Roschach
By Michael Roschach
Located in Barcelona, ES
Radtlos in German means wheelless, and Ratlos means clueless. Radtlos is a monolithic concrete table, another attempt to escape the comfort zone. Leaving behind commissioned works, Michael Roschach’s new approach are objects that go beyond the form determined by the function. Radtlos combines the roughness of concrete with the lacquered piano finish. Three back wheeled legs, lika a grand piano, a forth concrete leg that grounds the table. Casted in one piece, the form is inspired by a classic shaker wooden...
