The frame is meticulously finished using the traditional art of straw marquetry (Marqueterie de Paille), executed by master artisan Tamara Kan. Each piece of straw is hand-dyed in France, cut, flattened, and inlaid to create a luminous, textured surface that catches and reflects light in subtle, shifting tones. The result is a striking blend of minimalist form and rich, organic detail --- a celebration of modernist restraint and artisanal tradition.
