About the Item
A pair of beautiful late Gustavian mirror sconces made in Stockholm around 1790. The sconces feature polychrome gouache paintings in the crowns and glass in front. The brass light arms are original. Both mirrors are fitted with mercury glass. The carvings are wood-carved, and the gilding is original that has been refreshed.
Materials:
The frame is in pine and the carvings in alder or lime. Brass light arms. Mercury glass. Gouache paintings with glass in front.
