Pair of French 19th Century Napoleon III Period Louis XVI Style Mirrors
About the Item
A very attractive pair of French 19th century Napoleon III period Louis XVI st. polychrome and gilt mirrors. The outer edge of the frame has bold and richly detailed berried laurel bands with an X ribbon design at two ends and protruding corners. Each corner has a decorative gilt rosette and an inner beaded band. The central oval shaped mirror plate has an outer gilt twisted ribbon and at each corner are giltwood laurel wreaths with tied bows. All original black polychrome and gilt.
