Pair of Italian 18th Century Mecca Mirrors with Original Mirror Plates

About the Item

A beautiful and most decorative pair of Italian 18th century Baroque st. Mecca mirrors. Each mirror retains its original mirror plate set within a fine mottled wrap around fillet. The frame displays elegant scrolled foliate designs at the base with lovely reeded seashell like designs extending upwards. The striking pierced top crowns display impressive richly carved acanthus leaves with scrolled elements centering curved reserves with charming finely detailed blooming flowers and leaves set on hammered backgrounds. All original gilt throughout.
