About the Item
A magnificent pair of Italian 19th century Louis XV st. finely carved mecca mirrors. Each mirror is raised by most elegant and richly carved scrolled foliate feet centering a fine seashell reserve. At the center are the original mirror plated framed within a mottled border while impressive foliate movements lead up the side to the striking pierced top crown. The majestic top crown displays wonderful foliate designs amidst delicate floral carvings and centered by a cabochon. All original mecca throughout.
