Pair of Swedish Early 20th Century Gilded and Painted Mirrors with Draped Swags
About the Item
A pair of painted and gilded Swedish mirrors from the early 20th century. This pair of Swedish mirrors feature a rather linear profile softened by the folded fabric motifs on each side. The crest is decorated with a delicate swag motif with oval medallions on each side below. The central clear glass is surrounded by the painted wood frame with traces of gilding throughout. The painted background is more of a taupe with greyish green hue. These mirrors were used in The Hunger Game Movies, in Katniss' Victor's house and like in the movie, would be perfect placed in a living room above a pair of demilune tables. Nice aging on these throughout the frame.
