Pineapple Dreams Mirror by Bradley Theodore
About the Item
For Milan Design Week 2022, Artemest collaborated with Specchi Veneziani and artist Bradley Theodore on this one-of-a-kind piece, to be showcased at the exhibition BLOW: Bradley Theodore Meets Murano. This limited edition of one piece is available exclusively on Artemest. A mirror made following the Murano tradition: the glass is hand-engraved with a diamond cutting sandstone wheel, then silvered. The silver is then removed by hand, and the parts left transparent are painted with special glass paints. This achieves an effect of depth in the engraved decorations that cannot be reproduced with other techniques. The mirror is then completed with colorful rosettes and glass-blown decorations, traditionally handmade in a Murano furnace. Please note that this exquisite piece has been part of the BLOW collection by Bradley Theodore on show at Artemest Galleria in New York.
