About the Item

AEGIS-M mirror is made to order using gold stainless steel frame, tinted mirror and gold steel wire. The mirror can be hung vertically or horizontally. A modern contemporary design using only the finest materials and manufacturing methods. Every element is sourced in Italy and is assembled and finished by hand by a family of metal artisans in Italy near the Amalfi coast; including the sanding down of any welding marks, the galvanization and arduous threading of the steel wire. The mirror is reinforced on the back by a strong metal sheet in the same finish as the metal frame. Complex processes have been developed in collaboration with the local university to achieve specialized metal finishes that evolve with time, adding character individual to every piece. The mirror can be hung vertically or horizontally. It has hanging hooks in it's four corners as per image above. Weight is 18 kilograms. A new design from Ziad Alonaizy, AEGIS - M is a concept driven contemporary design. Whilst the mirror appears to be floating atop the metal frame, the golden wires are reminiscent of a bird cage holding the mirror in place. Previously an orthopaedic surgeon, Ziad Alonaizy acquired distinction from the prestigious Inchbald School of design in London before starting his new career in architectural interior design. AEGIS is his first line of furniture. AEGIS has been featured in publications such as Wallpaper* and Elle Decoration - these are visible in our storefront.
