Very rare circular woven straw mirror by French modernist design duo, Adrien Audoux & Frida Minet, Golfe-Juan, French Riviera, 1960's
very good vintage condition
Audoux Minet became successful in the 1940's and 50's for their playful and innovative design ethic. They invented a new style of furniture whose frame, often made of oak or beech, was entirely covered with raffia. The use of materials such as rope and tubular metal created a fresh approach to design. Simple frames clad in woven abaca (hemp rope) became their hallmark.
