Royal French Oval Baroque Mirror circa 1880s, gold, Napoleon III
Wood and stucco, gilded. Double frame with surrounding, relief-decorated leaf friezes and connecting cartouches. The surrounding panels are glazed with printed Bacchantes and Cupids on a cloud background. Mirror glass with a beveled edge. An openwork bow forms the lower section. A cartouche flanked by blossoming branches crowns the frame. 152 x 90 cm
