Spanish Revival Black and Giltwood Rectangular Carved Mirror with Corner Flowers
Spain, 1930-1940.
Gorgeous Spanish Baroque style parcel-gilt and black painted rectangular mirror.
This hand carved wood frame has foliage and floral carving ornamentations and flowers decorating the corners. It has a black patinated cross shaped background to highlight the gold leaf gilded details.
The contrast of black and gilt details creates a beautiful visual effect.
Original patina and gold leaf gilding.
An excellent mirror to be placed in a powder room, bedroom or as a part of a wall mirror composition with other carved wooden mirrors as a collection.
