STUNNING 18TH CENTURY GEORGIAN STYLE MIRROR CiRCA 1880 GILTWOOD PHOENIX TO TOP

Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this lovely antique circa 1880 wall mirror based on the original Thomas Chippendale Georgian Phoenix example Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. A nice, decorative and highly coveted wall mirror, known as the Thomas Chippendale Phoenix mirror these are quintessentially English, designed by the greatest furniture maker in England’s history, Chippendale chairs sell in the millions. This mirror is what’s called and original patina piece meaning it has been lightly restored to include a clean wax and polish however not fully restored to cover the age-related patination. The timber has some light timber shrinkage cracks, some losses and so on as expected with a 140+ year old piece. The mirror plate is thick and has some desirable foxing, it has a gold gilt surround, and the Phoenix is course gilt as well. I have another of these which is larger in Walnut listed under my other items. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
