Our work is research: we give our fantasy free rein when experimenting and manipulating an object in leather.
The researcher proceeds and invents. Given a road, it goes all the way along it, back and forth, and then begins to visit its surroundings. It is the same for us. We explore the leather: creating corners, cutting edges, and joining the parts. Every object is an invention, because it is a stage in the research, and never the endpoint of the production.
Like footprints in the sand, our objects represent a story made up of different chapters. Every element of this story, every collection, has its own independent life. Foglia Couture, Caballito Blanco, Miroirs et Tapis, Bombo, Stecco, Isole, Pouf!, Caballito Blanco#Blanco. Every name in this sequence is a step, a track, a memory.
But what better expresses the idea of our project is the whole set of collections, the direction that they all take as one, like a slipstream along the coast.
Inventing as a job is first and foremost a pleasure. Combining the materials, folding the lines, choosing the colours, modelling, and constructing. And above all, simplifying, letting the objects be free to invent a new space, observing how they come to modify what they are next to: a room, a place, the everyday routine.
Imagination creates a horizon. The designs are sensed in an ideal world. The next step, the one that allows you to see the images composed in the objects, is the heart of our work. Experience concretizes what is initially imagined, and all our production represents this operation.

Galerie Philia
Galerie Philia is an international contemporary sculptural design and art gallery representing emerging and established designers and artists. The gallery is the brainchild of two brothers who share a lifetime passion for art, literature and philosophy. Their distinct academic background sets them apart from their peers, as it sees them following a rhizomatic and transcultural approach in the way they select works. This involves combining elements from multiple cultures in what becomes a network of harmoniously interconnected roots, ultimately revealing the beauty of each unique creation. The gallery’s non-hierarchical curation sits apart from the ephemerality of trends and focuses instead on the true aesthetic quality of the piece – alluring and timeless. Unlike others, Galerie Philia does not focus on a single style – whether minimalist, organic or raw – but rather embraces heterogeneity. The Galerie Philia takes pride in discovering new talents, providing them with multiple international platforms to showcase their latest creations. As well as propelling the newest generation of 21st century collectible design, Galerie Philia also works with internationally known design artists. Galerie Philia has a strong international presence, with galleries in Geneva, New York and Singapore. In addition to their permanent spaces, the gallery organizes temporary group exhibitions and artists residencies in first-class locations around the world.

"Mirrors should reflect a little before throwing back images." Jean Cocteau, Le sang d'un poète (1930)
Nestor Perkal said about "Vaca Colgada":
"This object has always fascinated me. Is it there simply to reflect our image or is it looking at us? It envelopes us, searches for us, constantly questions us. At Oscar Maschera I looked for what leather could bring to this object and how it could become its supporting structure."
NESTOR PERKAL, born in Buenos Aires, lives and works in Paris. Though he trained as an architect, his work has always been oriented to design and interior architecture. In 1985, he founded an international design gallery in Paris, l’Espace Nestor Perkal, where he was among the first in Europe to show and sell pieces from the “New International Design” movement: Memphis Milano, Mariscal and many others.
From 1987-1994, he was the artistic director of the goldsmith’s company Algorithme, where he invited many designers to work on edition projects that were highly successful in France and abroad. As a designer, he has collaborated with Drimmer, Lou Fagotin...
