James Vaughan, M.A. between 1873 and 1874. David James Vaughan (1825-1905) was born St. Martin's vicarage in Leicester, England. He was educated at Trinity college at Cambridge and help found the Cambridge Philological Society. In 1853 he was ordained deacon and began his pastoral work in Leicester.
