While the 70mm film format was in use in the early 1900s, the gauge saw most of its use in the 1950s with famous film producer Mike Todd and his Cinerama and TODD-AO systems of filmmaking. This reel is wonderful artifact of 70mm cinema from the last century. Now this 70mm film format is alive again as used in the new AMAZING 2017 feature film: 'DUNKIRK'.
