About the Item

Late 19th century-early 20th century English Arts & Crafts Oak bedroom set with pewter inlay. A matching set including a full size Arts & Crafts bed which was converted to a Queen made from solid oak, ebony and pewter. The two black ebony rails on either side of the posts were added to create the additional width. Two bed rails were fabricated new to hold the head and foot board together for a Queen size bed. An English Arts & Crafts chest of drawers with mirror made of oak with pewter inlay to include four drawers below two smaller top drawers and adjustable mirror. Pewter inlay flower detailing on either side of mirror. Veneer lifting slightly at back edges. Finally a small matching English Arts & Crafts desk with matching caned seat chair. The finish on the desk and chair has more wear than the other pieces. Some pewter inlay is missing on the left side of the desk mirror, as per photo. Caning on chair seat dips but no tears. Bed dimensions: 63.25" wide x 84.25" long x 62" high, base of rail 8" from ground. Chest of drawers dimensions: 38" wide x 21.5" deep x 72" high overall to top of mirror, 46" high to top of chest Four drawers 30.2" wide x 6"high Two small drawers 15" wide x 5" high Desk dimensions 42.5" wide x 21.66" deep x 60.5" high overall to top of mirror Two desk drawers 17" wide x 4"high Height from floor to bottom of desk opening 24.25"high Chair dimensions: 17.5 wide x 15.25"deep x 41.25"high x 18" seat height.

Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Bed has light wear to finish. Pewter inlay intact. Desk and chair have more wear to finish. Missing some pewter inlay on the left side of the desk mirror, as per photo. Caning on chair seat dips but no tears. Veneer on chest lifting at rear edges.
