This fantastic lacquered sculpted walnut 'Oceanic' bedroom set is by Pulaski Furniture Corporation, circa 1969 which perfectly encapsulates the California surf mentality of the 1960s and 1970s, making this set highly sought after by Tiki collectors and Mid-Century Modern design aficionados. This 6-piece set includes a nine drawer dresser, a highboy dresser cabinet, pair of nightstands, headboard and mirror. The dresser, which also works great as a credenza or sideboard cabinet, features nine drawers; there are three wider drawers in the center, each flanked by two smaller drawers on either side, which due to the artful wood carvings the lines to the drawers seemingly disappear giving an artistic sculptural appearance when not in use. The highboy dresser features five drawers on the right and a cabinet door on the left which reveals three lower drawers, three cubbies and three smaller trinket or jewelry drawers. This highboy dresser would be a wonderful option as a lingerie dresser, jewelry armoire, gentleman’s wardrobe or storage for all of your knick-knacks. Plenty of space for socks, underwear, t-shirts, stockings, ties, belts, pajamas, jewelry and more. The pair of nightstands which also work great as end tables or side tables feature Formica tops, open cubby areas perfect to place an iPad, remote control, book or magazines and more, lower drawers with sculpted wood panels, all floating on a black plinth base.
