ABOUT Vincenzo Cadorin
Venetian sculptor born in 1854, he studied at Benvenuti, then studied at the Academy of Venice. In 1883 he exhibited his first works in Rome and in the following year he won the gold medal at the Torino exhibition. "Eclectic craftsman, with the same disinflation of Renaissance and rococo motifs ... not without paying attention to how secession and liberty were being formulated" (Luisa GIORDANO, Cadorin, Vincenzo, in Italian Biographical Dictionary, XVI, Rome, 1973, p. 97). His most famous work is the carved and golden carved chair given to Pius X for his priestly jubilee in 1908, now in the Ba-silica of Health in Venice. Morí in 1925.
