French Art Deco Period Patinated Brass Bed Frame
About the Item
Gracefully curved French art deco bed frame constructed from patinated brass and iron. The bed features a cathedral arch formed headboard having vertical slats decorated with brass orbs or spheres. The curved footboard has a similar design of slats and spheres. The ends are conjoined to an iron frame with a mattress opening measurement of 44.5 inches wide and 74.5 inches long. The frame sits 9 inches high on the sides and is supported by slightly tapered square legs. Labeled "A.D. Brevete" on the headboard. The bed has a lovely patinated finish on the aged brass as seen in photos. The mattress opening does not match any modern sizes and would probably have to be custom made. Solid construction that includes all hardware to assemble.
