Pair of Italian Tole Beds
About the Item
Handsome pair of Italian wrought iron/tole bed frames with hand-painted head and footboards with lovely patina and wonderful scenic paintings. All original with the exception of a few cross braces. Head and footboards have scenic medallions and cast metal gilt accented filigree 'crowns' and scroll form feet. A truly great expression of 19th Century form.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. very good origianl condition, some losses to decorative paint and darkening of varnish. The pieces could be restored and in-painted, but the patina is a definite plus.
