Pair Antique French Louis XV Marquetry Marble Top Nightstands
About the Item
Pair Antique French Louis XV Marquetry marble top nightstands offer a lot of style in diminutive packages! The subtle contours and scroll forms are evident in the cornerposts and legs, supporting serpentine sides and a bowed front facade for a curvaceous effect. The tops are luxurious Sienna marble, contoured and beveled to precisely follow the contours of the caseworks below. Mahogany veneers with grain patterns oriented for visual appeal cover each side, inlaid with satinwood and olive wood to create exquisite renderings of floral bouquets and sprays, complete with the finest of French bordering. The gracefully contoured front legs are adorned with brass mounts at the shoulders as well as the feet, with brass drawer pulls on the facade to complement the look. Three drawers with dovetailed joints make each piece extremely versatile, by the bedside, or against the wall in any seating group, combining an opulent look, carefree surface and surprising storage all in one pair!
