About the Item

Midcentury pair of Sligh Furniture/Grand Rapids Chair Co. chests from their Cross Country line, designed by Herbert Ten Have. Advertisements for this line date back as far as 1950, but I have been unable to determine how long this line was in production. Four drawers per chest--the top drawer is shallow, with dividers, and the bottom three drawers are the height of two of the horizontal "boards" each. Lower drawers also have center dividers each. Solid wood construction. Color matched and lacquered in gloss “Hague Blue” by Farrow and Ball. Dovetailed construction. Dimension 30"W × 21"D × 30"H.
