About the Item

André Saraiva: Graffiti Life Author André Saraiva, Contributions by Virgil Abloh and MAGDA DANYSZ and Jeffrey Deitch and Glenn O'Brien The first and much-anticipated book by visual artist, club creator, and nightlife impresario André Saraiva presents his wide range of works, from street art and contemporary art to graphic design, photography, and his influences on fashion and nightlife. Street-cool visual artist-cum-nightlife guru, André Saraiva, whose life dovetails into graffiti subculture, chic jet-setting, and the fashion world, presents an autobiographical visual diary of sorts, a revealing window into the worlds he inhabits. This visual journey is an interactive and striking object itself, with a either a vibrant pink cloth- or blue cloth-cover, Saraiva’s distinctive handwriting in foil, and seven pop-ups he designed. Chances are that while you’ve been strolling through the streets of Paris, London, New York, or Los Angeles, you may have caught a glimpse of Saraiva’s signature graffiti of Mr. A on a random street wall. Or you may have seen him in the Banksy film, Exit Through the Gift Shop; spied him in the front rows of the Paris Fashion Week shows; or seen him at one of his many chic nightclubs. Graffiti Life is a never-before-seen look at the artist’s many spheres through which he effortlessly moves: street culture, contemporary art, graphic design, photography, fashion, and nightlife. It follows Saraiva’s art/life trajectory, and includes his Instagram-worthy tags on the streets of Paris; countless silk-screened posters; paintings and sculpture; creative collaborations with Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Colette, and more. About The Author André Saraiva is an artist, hotelier, and entrepreneur. Virgil Abloh is an artist, architect, engineer, creative director, and designer. Magda Danysz is a French art curator and art dealer. Glenn O’Brien (1947–2017) was a writer who focused largely on the subjects of art, music, and fashion. Jeffrey Deitch is an American art dealer and curator.

Decorate Happy: Bold, Colorful Interiors
By Rizzoli International Publications, Anthony Baratta
Located in New York, NY
The first solo book by celebrated interior designer Anthony Baratta, Decorate Happy showcases Baratta's preppy-chic style in a pattern-filled guide to decorating with verve and style. Anthony Baratta's rooms are happy. Whether they are found in the country or the city, these maximalist rooms are designed to make you smile. In his first solo book, Anthony Baratta, whose work has graced more than fifty magazine covers and been celebrated in the Cooper-Hewitt, shares twelve of his most recent houses, all in their own way perfect examples of his Classic high-color, high-pattern all-American style. Some nod to the historical importance of centuries past, like an eighteenth-century house in Colonial Williamsburg; some are nautical chic. Some are glorious pop art, with mod rooms and bright primary colors, while others are chicly rustic. Although all the houses are unique, their rooms share one consistent underpinning: joy. Colorful, pattern-filled, life-affirming--these are rooms where life is meant to be lived to the fullest. About the author Anthony Baratta, the king of East Coast chic, is one of the most celebrated and respected interior designers of the day with a global following of loyal fans. Formerly half of the iconic design dream team Diamond Baratta...

Graphic Classics
Located in New York, NY
Discover 500 of the world’s greatest graphic designs in one big, bold, and brilliant volume This deep dive into graphic design history presents the work of more than 400 designers across 33 countries and 5 continents, with work dating back to the 14th century. Reimagined from the Phaidon best-seller Graphic: 500 Designs that Matter, the book’s dizzying array of designs range from the Gutenberg Bible to Joy Division album art, with work by both anonymous creators and industry icons such as Aleksandr Rodchenko, Paul Rand, Paula Scher, Ahn Sang-soo, and Julia Born. The generous format and two-part design structure allows designs to be shown in detail, with large images up front and a 300+ word text for each entry in the back – making this equal parts picture and reading book. A design category key adds functionality while indicating the sheer variety of disciplines at work within one medium, from advertising and information design to posters, books, magazines, and logos. This book is the perfect reference guide for design and art lovers, enthusiasts, and professionals at any stage of their careers, as well as all those interested in and impacted by visual communication. Carefully revised to bring every detail up to date, organized chronologically, and with the addition of 50 new examples that highlight designers reshaping the graphic culture of today, this collection is more comprehensive, compelling – and relevant – than ever before.
