Vintage Large Ancient Greek Temple Ruins Architectural Model or Sculpture

This large and substantial architectural model of an Ancient Greek temple is unsigned, but presumed to have been made in Italy in circa 1960 in a realistic style. This model or sculpture is composed of thick plaster built over a frame of wood and wire mesh and has been cold painted to resemble the actual marble temple. The model is highly detailed showing individual blocks and columns and is done to scale. We believe this architectural model is a depiction of one of the Ancient Greek temples of Paestum found in what is now Sicily. The model is quite large spanning approximately three feet across and weighs about sixty pounds. We believe that given the size and artistry was made for a commercial display purpose in either an educational environment or for advertising.
