About the Item

Pawnee pipe tomahawk. File burnt and tacked with remnants of yellow paint over entire shaft. Exhibited in the Wichita Falls Museum 1967, Maryland Academy of Art and Science 1969, Florida Museum - Ft. Lauderdale 1973, Collected by Howard Green from Hubbell who collected for George Heye around 1900. This piece also published in the American Arms Society's publication.
