Polte Magdeburg 1911 WWI Brass Artillery Shell Casing Stool

About the Item

Massive World War I brass artillery shell case marked "Polte Magdeburg Juni 1911" fitted with custom round pillbox cushion upholstered in sea foam green faux leather. Nearly 40 pounds of solid mirror polished brass! The underside of cushion has been fitted with a metal flange wrapped in tape to keep seat securely in place without altering the integrity of the shell in any way. Snugly fitted seat simply lifts off. Interior of case can be used for storage. 21 inches high by 14 inches diameter. Brass casing itself is 18 inches high. Diameter of 320 mm and a height of 455 mm. Fantastic historical artifact given new life.
