Retaining its original patterend orange paper cover, 32 pages in total with 29 pages penned with riddles and anecdotes.

Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Structurally sound. Some minor damage to first few leaves, staining and toning throughout.

Rogers was invited to be Poet Laureate on the occasion of Wordsworth's death 1850, but declined due to his age. Considered one of the great sources of social documentary of London's artistic and literary world of the 18th and early 19th century, he lived to the age of 92 - astonishing for the era.
