2 Volumes. Oliver Goldsmith, The Vicar of Wakefield. Bound in full blue morocco with beautiful red inlaid roses and floral gilt borders on the covers. Raised band spine gilt with panels displaying gilt detailing, titles, and a red inlaid rose. All edges are gilt with silk endpapers. This is a facsimile reproduction of the first edition published in 1766 with an introduction by Austin Dobson and a bibliographical list of editions published in England and abroad. Published by Elliot Stock in London, 1885. Stunning copy.
