Includes invitation to New York Historical Society-hosted reception to honor author's book alongside the one hundred twenty first anniversary of the founding of the society. Beautiful colored fold-out frontispiece. Black and white and colored plates, illustrations, and maps throughout. 3/4 white vellum and silk boards, original binding. Gilt seal depicting "SIGILLM AMSTELLO: DAMENSIS IN NOVO BELGIO" on front cover, "SIGILLM, CIVITATIS, NOVI E BORACI" on back cover. Slik slip cover, each one in a slip case.
