A beautifully signed copy of Brassai's "The Secret Paris of The 30's". 1st edition 1976, published by Pantheon books New York. A discreet view of the forbidden Paris of the 1930s, it's brothel, it's pimps, it's opium dens. A dark yet fascinating world where high society mixed with the underworld. The magnificent photos are accompanied by an autobiographical text in which Brassai reminisces about his world and describes the extraordinary conditions under which he took his photographs. Boldly signed " For Tara and David Gordon, bien amicalement, Brassai, New York, le 25 Sept 1976.
