About the Item

A History of European and American Sculpture from the Early Christian Period to the Present Day by Chandler Post. London: Oxford U. Press, 1921. Signed first edition hardcover with slip-case. He attended Harvard University, graduating with a B.A. and was appointed an associate professor at Harvard in 1920. He was a friend of Boston collector Isabella Stewart Gardner. In 1921 he published A History of European and American Sculpture, one of the 1st early surveys of Sculpture in America and Europe. Rare, Early Signed Edition. NPT Books, a division of N.P.
