A curated group of seven volumes celebrating leading figures in contemporary fashion, several warmly inscribed to Iris Apfel by their authors and designers. Together, they form a vibrant snapshot of international style and creative exchange across decades of design.

Zandra Rhodes: 50 Fabulous Years in Fashion (Yale University Press, 2019) — Signed and inscribed to Iris Apfel: “To fabulous Iris with love & thanks,” with personal note and invitation from the designer laid in.
Extending the Runway: Tatiana Sorokko Style (Russian Fashion Museum, 2010) — Inscribed: “To Iris with best wishes, Tatiana Sorokko,” also signed by co-author Dennita Sewell.
Isabel Toledo: Fashion from the Inside Out (Valerie Steele & Patricia Mears, FIT Museum, 2009) — Boldly inscribed and illustrated with a personal drawing by Isabel and Ruben Toledo to Iris and Carl Apfel.

Provenance:
From the personal library of Iris Apfel (1921–2024), legendary style icon, businesswoman, and interior designer known for her wit, exuberant use of color, and fearless individuality. A lifelong collector and collaborator, Apfel’s friendships with leading designers, editors, and artists—including Zandra Rhodes, Isabel Toledo, and Tatiana Sorokko—are documented in these personally inscribed volumes. Her collection formed the basis of numerous exhibitions, including Rara Avis: Selections from the Iris Apfel Collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
