Irma Boom No. 11 "The architecture of the Book" is made from sunken paper, thread sewn binding and softcover in 2013.
When the first description of her monograph, published in 2010, sold out of its 3,200 copies, Irma Boom considered making the second a little bigger. "The Architecture of the Book" not only features books, but also corporate identity designs, postage stamps, and posters. It includes a new introduction by Rem Koolhaas, who also designed the type on the cover, and a specimen from a blind-embossed book recently designed by Chanel.
